A
Craft Class with Suzy -
Join our Nurse, Suzy Maurer as she leads you during this
craft class.
Alphabet
Art - Come join Cambria in Learning the Alphabet through
songs, books, and crafts. Cambria will be leading this class
at the library.
Art
Starts Here - Sarah will lead you and your children
through fun art projects for the budding artist.
Baby
Play Group - A play group specific for infants to
socialize and interact with other babies.
Beginning
Activities for Infants (Spanish Only) - There are many
different colors, textures and sounds in which infants
respond most actively too in their surroundings. Come
and join Olga Pizaro in introducing some of these simple
brain-stimulating activities to your infant.
Beginning
Toddler Activities - This class is for younger toddlers
to learn some basic skills that they have not yet learned or
have not been exposed to quite yet. This class will be set up so we work on 3 different
skills in 15 minute increments to prevent boredom or loss of
focus. This
class will be taught by Erica.
Behavior
Basics - A class designed to provide parents with
insightful knowledge about the basics of behavior. The
basic principles of behavior will help you understand why
children often rely on problem behaviors and how to get the
behaviors you want. Shannon Crozier and Heather Van
Ness from UNLV Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders will be
leading this informative class.
Developmental
Activities (English & Spanish) - Is your child having
problems with transitions or sitting still for things such
as story-time or different developmental activities?
Come and join in with Erica and Ruby in practicing these
different skills through circle time and educational
stations.

Eating Smart Being
Active - (English & Spanish) - This class will
teaches food safety, money management and instills
behavioral skills to prepare and eat a nutritious diet. This
class has eight different sessions that will be offered.

Explore
and Learn - These are developmental classes put
together by the great people from Early Intervention
Services of Southern Nevada. There will be specialists available to answer your
developmental questions as well as to provide important
information regarding your children’s development.
Family
and Friends CPR - This class is for parents/adults only.
Come learn life-saving techniques or refresh your current
skills. This is not for certification purposes.
Our RN Michelle Menor will be offering this class.
Grocery
Smarts - Would you like to cut your grocery bill in half
and still stock your pantry? Come and learn how to get
the best deals without chasing deals all over town! Taught
by Lynn Tyrell.
Growth
and Development- Covers simple techniques you can use to
stimulate the growth and development of your baby and build
your baby’s “brainpower.” This class will be held at
Centennial Hills Hospital and will be taught by RN Susan

How
To Increase and Maintain Your Energy, Vitality and Youth
- Does your energy get low, do you want to learn how to
maintain it all? If you have any questions about learning
how to maintain your energy this will be a great class to
attend. Dr Grimes will be teaching this class.
How
To Raise Independent Children - Learn to express your
love for your child in ways that benefit his/her future
development. Taught by Dianne Farkas, MS.
Independent
Play - This class will encourage your child to use
his/her imagination in participating in free play.
This can be really good for your child’s creativity
Infant
Massage I & II - You can help your baby sleep
better, digest food better and cry less by learning infant
massage techniques. Bring
a towel or blanket which you don’t mind being soiled by
the natural oil we will use for massage. This is a 2 series class; please plan on attending
both classes. Taught

In
Shape With Zumba - Come and learn some new while moves while
dancing and toning your body. Dance the Zumba with
Amor!
Jungle
Adventure!! - There are so many different types of
Animals in the world. Its time to explore animals that live
in the Jungle. This class will be filled with crafts and
activities that let children experience their own adventure
in a Jungle. Cambria will be leading this class at the
library.
Mommy
Support Group (Spanish) - Come join in with other moms
to get help and support regarding resources or any kid or
mommy questions you may have. Carmen Valencia will be
over-seeing this class.
Nutrition
for Children (Spanish Only) - Food provides the energy
and nutrients that a baby or child needs to stay healthy.
Learn about essential and necessary foods for your children
from birth to adolescence. Class taught by Dr, Valencia and
will only be offered in Spanish.
Parent
Effectiveness Training - Come and learn how to
communicate effectively with your children. A must attend
class because of its informational content. Taught by Dianne
Farkas, MS.
Planning
for your Child’s Future (Financially) - This class
will teach parents ways they can plan for their child’s
future. Taught by Ulyanna Chung, Agent of State Farm
Insurance.
Positive
Behavior (Spanish only) - Come and join psychologist Olga
Pizarro in learning some necessary strategies to encourage
your child to engage in positive behavior.
Preschool
Pals - This class will introduce children to Preschool
Activities. Children will learn and have fun with music,
reading, and math activities. Taught by Pam Durkin.
Red
Flags for Speech and Language Development - Worried about your
child’s speech and language development? In this
class you will learn about communication milestones and
typical development and red flags for speech and language
delay. You will also learn specific ways to enhance
your child’s communication development. Taught by
Mark S. James, MS, CCC-SLP-Therapy Management Group.
Safety
in the Home (Spanish) - Come and learn about some important
safety precautions in the home. Class will be taught
by Lorena Rios.
Sign
Language (Baby & Toddler) - As your child’s spoken
vocabulary grows; his/her sign vocabulary can grow, too.
Introducing and continuing sign language with your children
provides exceptional stimulation for multiple areas of the
brain. Taught by volunteer Shannon Osborne. For more

Tummy Time -
Parents can learn how to make tummy time fun for babies
through engaging songs and activities. This class will be
held at Centennial Hills Hospital and will be taught by RN
